Have your say on proposed changes to wildlife licensing

The Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 commenced on 25 August 2017.
 
The Office of Envirnment and Heritage are seeking your feedback on proposed changes to wildlife licensing to support the objectives of this new Act.
 
The following documents are now on public exhibition, until 24 July 2018: 
  • A discussion paper on the proposed changes
  • A draft revised Animal Keepers Species List
  • Proposed codes of practice for keeping native birds, frogs and reptiles.
You can view and comment on these documents on the Office of Environment and Heritage website.
 
Comments may be submitted by using the online form, by email (wildlife.reforms@environment.nsw.gov.au), or by post (to Wildlife Licensing Consultation, National Parks and Wildlife Service, PO Box 1967, Hurstville, NSW 1481).
 
Your comments will be considered in finalising changes to wildlife licensing, with approved changes to be progressively implemented from late 2018.
