Nest boxes for Marrambidya Wetland

Nestboxes play an important role in wildlife conservation in areas where a significant number of natural hollows are unavailable.

Wagga Wagga Urban Landcare has constructed approximately 20 nestboxes intended to host small marsupials such as Squirrel Gliders and native parrots. In 2016, the boxes were installed by Wagga Wagga City Council as part of the fantastic Marrambidya Wetlands conservation area.

Wagga Wagga Urban Landcare is appreciative of assistance received from Big River Group for the donation of the timber.
