Interpretive signage for Wiradjuri Walking Track

Printer-friendly version

The Wiradjuri Walking track at 42 km in length and taking in key features such as the Murrumbidgee River corridor, Lake Albert, Flowerdale Lagoon and Marrambidya Wetlands is a great asset for the Wagga Wagga region.

In 2016, Wagga Wagga Urban Landcare, utilising funding provided via Riverina Local Land Services, partnered with Department of Primary Industries and Wagga Wagga City Council to develop and install eight beautifully crafted interpretive signs that will educate track users on the environmental, cultural and historical value of the many features that surround the track.

Signs have been installed at sites such as Pomingalarna Reserve, Wiradjuri Reserve, the Riverside precinct and the Silvalite Reserve.
