Purpose: To provide funding to NSW Aboriginal organisations and communities to undertake or partner in projects to identify, conserve and promote Aboriginal heritage in NSW.

Applications are assessed four times a year by the Heritage Council's Aboriginal Heritage Advisory Panel.

Priorities: Funding priority will be give to projects that:

• increase the understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal heritage for the Aboriginal community and the wider community
• provide or assist in the interpretation of culturally significant Aboriginal places
• record or document significant Aboriginal community events, including contemporary events.

Applications by mail can be made at any time throughout the year.
