3.6.2. Endangered Birds

 Five endangered bird species are known to occur in the Mid Murrumbidgee.
• Australasian bittern (Botaurus poiciloptilus)
• Bush stone-curlew (Burhinus grallarius)
• Plains-wanderer (Pedionomus torquatus)
• Regent honeyeater (Xanthomyza phrygia)
• Swift parrot (Lathamus discolor)
