2.8. Areas of High Conservation Significance

The South Eastern Highlands and the Australian Alps are both considered to be adequately represented in the National Reserve System. The region is home to a number of conservation reserves, which are listed here. In total, 54% of the ACT is devoted to conservation reserves (ACT Government, 2012).
